CBAM for fastener manufacturers
Since 1 January 2026, imports of iron and steel fasteners covered by CBAM carry a carbon cost. Worldfast builds your Monitoring Plan and supports you with the emissions calculation and the verification, through our own app.

What is CBAM?
CBAM (the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) is the European Union’s system for putting a price on the carbon embedded in imported goods. From 2026, your European customers must declare the emissions of every tonne of fasteners you sell them and buy certificates for them.
How Worldfast helps you
We handle the whole chain, from the factory figure to the document the verifier signs.
We calculate your real emissions
Your specific embedded emissions (SEE), product by product and by CN code, using the method and factors of the Commission’s act — not an estimate.
We build your Monitoring Plan
The eight sections of the Monitoring Plan required under the definitive regime, in English and ready to submit, with your process flow diagram included.
Documentation ready for the verifier
Every figure traceable to its source and reproducible: what an accredited verifier needs to sign off your data.
Lower cost for your customer
With your verified real data, your buyer pays certificates for your actual emissions, not the default value. A commercial argument in your favour.
Dates that matter to you
The definitive CBAM regime is already under way.
Definitive regime
In force since January 2026: imports from that year already carry the obligation.
Verified reports
Available from January 2027, when verifier accreditation begins.
Your customer’s declaration
Filed each year on 30 September of the following year. Your data must reach them before then.
